I agree with another review that the cover is slightly incongruous to the story. That non-withstanding, the story was pretty cute, and the cartoons were a very novel idea. They fit in to the plotline 99% of the time, but I found a couple that I had to go back to look at and wonder why they were there. Those took me out of the story, and it was unfortunate.
The characters, not just the H/h, were multi-layered and interesting, and I'll probably grab the other books in this series to read about the auxiliary peeps we met in this story.
Very well written, compelling storyline, and satisfying ending. Solid four stars.
